Rooted in over 40 years of history on the Main Line, Formwork represents the next evolution of McIntyre,
Capron & Associates, a Philadelphia residential architecture firm founded by Ann Capron. Inspired by
California’s “Open Concept” floorplans, Ann redefined the Main Line’s conservative 1980’s design standards,
setting a new benchmark. Today, the firm continues to honor this visionary foundation while embracing
modern architectural innovation. With a decade of collaboration between principals Tom Weston and David
Campanella, Formwork specializes in custom-designed homes that prioritize personalized service, bespoke
craftsmanship, and design integrity. Under its refreshed leadership, Formwork remains committed to its
legacy of exceptional design and client-focused service.
Tom Weston joined the firm in 1993, rising from junior designer to senior project manager over ten years, creating homes for top builder clients. After three years managing multi-family residential projects elsewhere, he returned in 2005 as a partner and principal to focus on custom homes for individual homeowners. Tom blends expertise in high-end home design with creative problem-solving, shaping the firm’s operations with strategic judgment. He has modernized sales outreach, client onboarding, staff acquisition, and regional growth, transforming the firm into a more methodical and organized practice. A Cornell University graduate, Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture and is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maine.

David Campanella joined the firm in 2014 and became a partner in 2022. David's collaborative design approach seamlessly blends each client’s vision with his own refined aesthetic to create uniquely personal homes. His responsive communication and attention to detail ensure every project exceeds client expectations. A graduate of Tulane University’s School of Architecture with a Master of Architecture degree, David gained early experience in residential construction. Since joining the firm, David has expanded his client base across Philadelphia, the Main Line, and beyond, bringing a thoughtful and personalized approach to every project. As a registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland, David is proud to guide clients through the entire design and construction process, delivering exceptional results and contributing to the firm's success.
